A Love Letter to Coffee
A poem by Joseph Panzarella
Never does the day seem so bright than after a cup of coffee.
Rain or shine, before a flight or at home with family,
Coffee is always appropriate.
I see things clearer, imagine futures bigger
All with the sip of a morning brew or late-night Joe.
I implore you to grind some beans
Prepare the filter as you prepare your daily checklist.
Laundry, gym
Sip

Anything is possible when you steal a taste.
I am of the inclination that the nation’s problems
Can be solved with a cup of coffee,
Determination and grit go hand in hand
With French Press and a simple drip.
Don’t forget to add sugar if that’s your m.o.
I’ll go to hell before I drink decaf though.
Coffee is special.
Coffee is hope.
Coffee is the feeling you get when you
Start down a new road.
So, pour me up a big one I’m ready to go,
If you need me, i’ll be sippin’ it slow
